This heat wave has been beyond intense and coupled with the rather extreme storm(s) that have passed through and keep threatening to hit again, it has truly become almost unbearable. With this in mind (and counting my blessings since we have been lucky enough to not have our power go out through most of this – we don’t have air-conditioning but the fans and Internet access would be sorely missed!) I have been perusing the web in search of soothing, cool colored eye-candy to help create a gentler mind set.

Soft cotton and lace would be my ideal style of dress in such heat (though, naturally, I would hate to sweat in such lovely things so I’m usually in shorts and a slightly sloppy sort of shirt ~ doh!).
I hope this small tour of cool imagery helped provide a mental reprieve from the heat (goodness knows I’m still wandering about cyberland and praying for a breeze of any kind to come in through the window).
